Susie E. Caron M.A. Licensed Psychologist-Master, is a private practice Psychotherapist treating Children and Families, Individuals, Couples and Groups at CODA GROVE in Fairfax, VT. Susie earned her 1971 Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education from Lycoming College, and her 2002 Master’s in Clinical Psychology from St. Michael’s College. Susie’s early training and life experience include: certified teacher of children and adults, mentor-speaker of young mothers’ church group, hospice volunteer, church and community chorus soloist, owner-instructor of horsemanship riding school, mother of two adopted (now adult) children, and a loving wife to Ned for 40 years (and continuing). Throughout her life, Susie has shared God’s Love wherever God placed her. “There are plenty of people who need someone to listen, and who need God’s love delivered right where they are. That’s where I’ve been.” After her children were grown, Susie felt God’s leading to go to Graduate School. “I was 49 ½ years old! It was a total walk of faith!” Susie now specializes in the treatment of trauma(s) stemming from abuse, neglect, domestic violence and split families. She also treats anxiety, depression, and grief work from these and other losses. Susie holds memberships in the National Association of Masters Psychologists and the Vermont Psychological Association and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Church At Prison from 2005-2007 and again beginning 2011. Susie also provides training, supervision, and consultation. In 2005, 2006 and 2011 Susie presented workshops for CAP Conferences.
In all her work Susie’s goal is to “Shed the Love of God abroad” (Rom 5:5). Susie has experienced firsthand how God “gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength.” (Is 40:29). So Susie shares her joy, enthusiasm and abundant fervor with others – for He who sets us free!
